Teej celebration in nepal
T he festival of Teej in Nepal is observed in full enthusiasm and joy. Nepali Teej is very popular. The occasion is celebrated for three days by the females of Nepal. Women observe a Nirjala Vrat. But, this forbearance of females does not hold their spirit. On this day, all the females gather at a place in small groups and sing Nepali Teej songs, also known as Teej Geet. Special dance is also performed by the groups. Teej is one such festival, which strengthens the bond of marriage and relationship. It is a day to remember the Almighty and offer your prayers with full devotion. During Teej, a woman’s devotion to her husband is clearly stated, as she observes a strict day of dedication for her husband’s well being and long life.
